Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie A. Gruver, 81, of 709 Kern Street, will be 3 p.m. tomorrow at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. The Rev. Loren Damon superintendent of the Cedar Rapids area of the Free Methodist church will officiate. The Rev Mr. Damon was the former pastor of the Waterloo Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Gruver died Friday at the Edith Rest Home of carcinoma. She was born Jessie Ann Lanphear, March 11, 1878 in South Grove, Iowa.

In 1899 she married Thomas W. Gruver, who died in 1923. Mrs. Gruver was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Survivors are two sons, Charles G. Gruver of the Kern Street address, which whom Mrs. Gruver had made her home, and Harry Gruver Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Eder Glidden, Wisconsin and Mrs. Mildred Regenold, 1217 Mulberry Street. Sixteen grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren also survive.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Gruver was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and four sisters.
