HUDSON, IOWA — Delia Mae Courbat, 72, of Hudson, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born May 12, 1930, in Waverly, daughter of Lloyd and Maxine Remmington Colburn. She married Kenneth D. Courbat on Oct. 10, 1948, in Waverly. Mrs. Courbat had been employed at the Hudson House and later at the Product Engineering Center cafeteria for many years until disability retirement.

Survived by her husband; four sons, Frank, Nick and Jim, all of Waterloo, and Doug of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Nancy Lefstad of Vinton and Teresa Scharnhorst of Hudson; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Colburn of St Louis and Gary Colburn of Waverly; and a sister, Margaret Ann Kirby of Columbia, Mo.

Preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Clark.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hudson United Methodist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
