WATERLOO — Douglas Richard Lynk, 52, of Waterloo, died at home Friday, February 8, 2013.

He was born September 19, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Richard and Avellino Oetker Lynk. He married Brenda Beltz on May 1, 1987, in Tama, they later divorced. He married Julie Fredrickson Foster on July 25, 2011, in Iowa City.

Mr. Lynk previously worked at Wal-Mart, Coralville, as a fork lift driver and also had worked for McComas-Lacina Construction, Iowa City. He was employed at Ryder Logistics, Waterloo, as a fork lift driver.

Survived by his wife of Waterloo; a son, Nicholas Richard of Bondurant; his mother, Avellino Lynk of Iowa City; two sisters, Karen (Duane) Watters of Grinnell and Pam (Jeff) Metz of Iowa City; two stepsons, Aaron Foster and Joseph (Maria) Foster, both of Waterloo; and his nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established.

Doug was a dog lover. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR, and was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
