CEDAR FALLS — Lois J. Crowley, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Fieldcrest Care Center, Hayfield, Minn.

She was born July 14, 1928, in Caledonia, Minn., daughter of Melvin C. and Ruth E. Johnson Quist. She married Robert A. Crowley on Dec. 26, 1950, in Menomonie, Wis. He died Sept. 15, 2002.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and was employed with Waterloo Public Schools at East, West and Central high schools from 1962 to 1986. During that time, she taught home economics education and was the Food Service Cooperative Education Coordinator. She served as president of the Cedar Falls Woman’s Club in 1994 and 1995.

Survived by two daughters, Laura (Alan) Eilers of Cedar Rapids and Liane (Lynn) Thompson of Bluffton, Ohio; a son, Scott (Sheri) of Hayfield; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Dale Quist.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Service, preceded by private burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Falls Woman’s Club Scholarships.
