Matilda Mentzer

Mrs. Matilda Mentzer died at the home of her son, S. W. Mentzer, in Shilliam's addition at 4:55 Wednesday morning of old age.

Deceased was one of the oldest residents of the city and at the time of death was in her 80th year. She had been gradually failing for some time and had been confined to her bed the past five weeks.

She leaves a son and two daughters, Mrs. Emma Schultz, of Chicago, and Mrs. Sarah Fike, of Bloornington, Illinois, all of whom were present during the closing days.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the German Evangelical Church; interment in Fairview.
