WATERLOO — Helen W. Buss, 90, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Peter and Jessie Walker Christiansen. She married Donald Buss on June 16, 1940, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 2, 1998.

Mrs. Buss attended Waterloo East High School and was a 1961 graduate of the Allen School of Nursing LPN Program.

Survived by two sons, Duane (Jeanne) and Doug, both of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Patricia (Manuel) Gomez of Texas; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Paul Christiansen; and three sisters, Thelma Ankeny, Josephine Wenthe and Iris Power.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
