WATERLOO — Charlene A. Boxwell, 73, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 25, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Donald and Harriette Rowland Cobb. She married Donald L. Boxwell on Sept. 22, 1961, in Waterloo.

She graduated from West High School in 1958 and Pitzie’s Beautician School. Mrs. Boxwell worked at John’s House of Beauty, Opal Essence, several local funeral homes and different homes over the years.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Jeffrey (Nancy) and Scott, both of Waterloo; six grandchildren; and a sister, Sherrilie Miller of Dunkerton.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home. She will be cremated following services. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.
