Services for Hazel E. Hocken, 78, of Ravenwood Health Care Center, formerly of 1015 W. 11th St., will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1986, at Covenant Medical Center at Kimball Ave. The cause of death was not available.

She was born Feb. 4, 1908, in Benton County, daughter of Merida B. and Sadie E. McFarlen Ferguson. She married Elmer Hocken on June 2, 1934, in Aurora.

She was a teacher in Benton County for eight years and a seamstress for 12 years at the Victoria Room.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters: Naomi Brewster of Cedar Rapids, Ellner Billington of Orchard Lake, Mich., and Esther Holm of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Copenhaver of Minneapolis, Mrs. Clarence Finch of Brandon and Mrs. Veva Van Laningham of Independence; she was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Ferguson; and a sister, Lurinda Ferguson.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to services Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials may be made to Grace Brethren Church.
