August F. Richter, 72, of 1325 Ansborough Ave., died Friday at 8:45 a. m. at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a tumor. He had been hospitalized for eight days.

He was born June 1, 1881, in New York City. On Mar. 1, 1913, He married Nora Harden at
Prairie du Chien, Wis. From 1930 to 1952 he was employed by the Waterloo Street Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl of Joliet, Ill., and George of 617 Wallgate Ave.; a daughter, Mrs. L. P. Lemholt cf Osage, Iowa; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Chapel of Memories, where funeral arrangements are pending.
