WATERLOO, IOWA — Florence B. Gunter, 92, of Waterloo, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born on December 8, 1920, in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of Aaron and Polly Coker Anderson.

She married Leon H. Gunter in January 1948 in Arkansas. He died February 28, 1996.

Mrs. Gunter was a commercial gardener selling products at various farmers markets.

Survived by two sons, Mack L. Thurman and Wayne Gunter, both of Waterloo; four brothers: William (Karen) Anderson of Taneyville, Missouri, Sherman Anderson and Earl (Barb) Anderson, both of Branson, Missouri, and Shorty (Ruth) Anderson of Protem, Missouri; two sisters, Rosie L. Strein of Forsythe, Missouri, and Blue Cummings of Walnut Shade, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Epperson; a son, Buddy Gunter; and a great-granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, preceded by two hours of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
