WATERLOO — Arlene Baumgartner, 84, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Rosewood Estate of Friendship Village.

She was born May 11, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Charles Ernest and Bertha Marie Odlund Coleman. She married Elwyn LuRay Baumgartner on Oct. 26, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. He died Feb. 28, 1992.

She graduated from Wilson High School, Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Baumgartner worked as a seamstress for Stegman Draperies for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, and Sharon United Methodist Church.

Survived by a son, Gary "Bum" (Donna) of Waterloo; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Alice (Buddy) Stegman and Doris (Dave) Leonard, both of Cedar Rapids, and Nancy (Cecil) Ellison of Solon; and a brother, Bobby (Jan) Coleman of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by a son, Larry; two brothers, Harold and Roy Coleman; and two sisters, Adria McCormick and Helen McGowan.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home.
