CEDAR FALLS — Arlene F. Glassner, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls.

She was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Dan and Merle Mastain Hummel. She married Bill Glassner and they later divorced.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School, attended Iowa State Teachers College (now UNI), and worked as a legal secretary for 50 years, retiring in 1995.

Survived by two brothers, Jerry (Bev) Hummel of Cedar Falls and Ivan Hummel of Dike; and a sister, Karen (Joe Hintz) Dinger, of Santa Clara, Calif.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Allen Hummel.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services at the funeral home.
