WATERLOO, IOWA — George Fred Nicholas, 91, of Waterloo, died at his home Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.

He was born May 25, 1921.

Mr. Nicholas served in the Navy during World War II, in the Aleutians and in the South Pacific.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Gregory, Timothy and David; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James and Fred Jr.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity Episcopal Church. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.
