WATERLOO — Gwendolyn F. Scoles, 91, of Waterloo, formerly of Evansdale, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at her son’s home in Waterloo.

She was born March 18, 1921, in Arlington, daughter of Lewis Harrison and Maude Ann Gardner Rose. She married Raymond F. Scoles on Feb. 14, 1938, in Waterloo.

Survived by three sons: Raymond Jr. (Margaret) of Waterloo, Ronald (Lea) of Westminster, Calif., and James of Sterling, Ill.; a sister, Donna Watters of Elk Run Heights; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Riley; four brothers: Bernard, Eugene, Leonard and one in infancy; three sisters: Agnes Watters, Lois McNamara and Norma Mumm; and a grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and for an hour before services Thursday.
