Miss Melanie Knapp

Services for Miss Melanie Knapp, 25, former Waterloo resident and daughter of former Waterloo Penney's department store manager Kenneth Knapp of La Crosse, Wis., will be at First Congregational Church in La Crosse at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Miss Knapp died Saturday morning of injuries suffered in an auto accident near La Crosse last Tuesday. She was a dental student at the University of Iowa School of Dentistry.

Miss Knapp is survived by her parents; two sisters. Medora of Menomonie, Wis., and Laurie of La Crosse; a brother, Paul of Waterloo; and the paternal grandfather, Ernest Knapp of Blissfield, Mich.

The family suggests memorials be given to the scholarship fund for dental students at the University of Iowa School of Dentistry. The Sletten. McKee, Hanson Funeral Home in La Crosse is in charge of arrangements.
