Daniel J. Burds, 47, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died Monday, April 1, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident north of Waterloo.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Lake Creek Cemetery, Rockwell City, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, Dubuque, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

He was born on June 19, 1954, in Dubuque, son of Lois (Friedell) and William C. Burds.

He graduated from Dubuque Wahlert High School in 1972. He was an Eagle Scout, representative for Teamsters...

Dale Felton, 64, of Fall Creek, Wis., and Daniel Burds, 47, of Waterloo, were killed, when a southbound pickup driven by Clayton Felton, 62, of Fall Creek, Wis., lost control on Highway 63, due to road conditions.

His pickup struck a northbound sport utility vehicle driven by Burds, the patrol said.

Dale Felton was a passenger in the pickup.
