CEDAR FALLS - Martha I. Brown, 87, of 2724 Bicentennial Drive, Apt. 302, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at home of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 22, 1913, in Oelwein, daughter of Lawrence and Julia Gulsvig Bulger. She married Wilbert Brown on May 1, 1937, in Oelwein. They later divorced.

Mrs. Brown worked at Rath Packing Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1975.

Survived by two daughters, Linda Kelley of Cedar Falls and Jan Stark of New Hope, Minn.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Mary McSweeney; and an infant brother, James Bulger.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, where there will be a 5 p.m. Senior Citizen's rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
