CEDAR FALLS — Robert “Bob” Verner Joslyn, 74, of Bloomington, Minn., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Dec. 5, 2012, of pancreatic cancer.

He was born Nov. 1, 1938, in Cedar Falls, son of Ronald Scanlon and Luella Mae Severn Joslyn. He married Shirley Rasmussen 43 years ago.

Mr. Joslyn served in the Army National Guard of Iowa and as a Reserve of the Army from 1961 to 1967. He graduated from Teacher’s College High School, Cedar Falls, in 1956.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Christine (Travis) Learing; a son, Kevin (Kristina); four grandsons; and a brother, Ronald William of Cedar Falls.

Memorial services were Thursday at Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church, with private burial in Dawn Valley Cemetery, both in Bloomington. Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel, Bloomington, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Fairview Hospice.
