WATERLOO - Rebecca Jane Rooff Mather, 64, of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Pavilion Med Center of Friendship Village from brain cancer.

She was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Waterloo, daughter of Leo P. and Lois Kathleen Burdine Rooff. She married Jim Mather on Dec. 20, 2008.

Mrs. Mather graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1966 and continued her studies in Paris, France. Upon returning she worked for the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport, then returned to Waterloo to work in travel until 9/11. She then worked at The Mudd Group until 2008. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Quota International and was past Noble Dame of the Waterloo Elklets.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Regan (Bart) Bishop of Blue Springs, Mo.; a son, Judd (Tiffany) Hatzky of Phoenix; two stepsons, Jim (Dana) Mather of Rogers, Ark., and Benjamin (Kristen) Mather of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Michelle Mather of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; her mother; and two sisters, Barb (Don) Schroyer of North Liberty and Robin (Jeff) Friesen of Greeley, Colo.

Preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, preceded by a private family graveside service. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Piecemakers of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Becky dearly loved being with her family and traveling with her husband. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching her neighbor Steven's beautiful flowers grow. She loved being with her grandkids. Becky's ultimate was living and sharing her life with all her friends and family.
