WATERLOO — James Lyn Stolte, 46, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center of cancer.

He was born Sept. 26, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, son of Leroy and Cheryl Holets Stolte. He married Nicole Aldrich on Sept. 26, 1992, in Des Moines.

Mr. Stolte graduated from Tipton High School and from Central College, Pella. He worked in retail management in Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo, where he managed TJ Maxx.

Survived by his wife; a son, Reese of Waterloo; his parents of Stanwood; a sister, Kim (Randy) Ehlers of Bennett; and a nephew, Seth Ehlers of Bennett.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dolly Stolte; and his maternal grandparents, Lumir and Edith Holets.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls, with burial at 1 p.m. Thursday in Red Oak Cemetery, rural Stanwood. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

A memorial fund is being established.
