CEDAR FALLS — Evelyn E. Patterson, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born April 26, 1923, in Blairsburg, daughter of Perry and Naomi Rhoades Seaboch. She married Lavern Patterson on Jan. 30, 1943, in Joplin, Mo.

Mrs. Patterson worked for J. C. Penney Co. for many years and later owned a custom drapery business which she ran out of her home.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Linda (Donovan) Burke of Cedar Falls and Charlene (Russell) Buck of Rockport, Texas; three grandchildren: Shawn (Karla) Chestnut, Lance (Olivia) Chestnut and Laura Nolan; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by eight brothers: Virgil, Victor, Fred, Glen, Maurice, Clinton, Lyle and Wilbur Seaboch, and two brothers in infancy; and three sisters: Ruth Hemmen and Lulu and Helen Seaboch.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa Hospice.
