DUNKERTON — Darlene R. Schiller, 89, of Dunkerton, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Readlyn, daughter of Arthur and Melinda Matthias Miller. She married Harvey C. Schiller on Dec. 5, 1945, in Readlyn. He died Oct. 3, 1990.

Survived by four sons: H. Jon (Sharon) of Amherst, Mass., Samuel J. (Nancy) of Cookville, Tenn., Gregory J. (Angela) of Monona and Matthew J. (Norma) of Fertile; five daughters: Deborah R. Schiller of Holyoke, Mass., Nancy M. (Rick) Parmely of State College, Pa., Laurel C. (Bryan) Van Willigan of Ainsworth, Gretchen S. (Richard) Willock of Madison, Miss., and Rachel J. (Rick) Gillespie of Dunkerton; 40 grandchildren; and a sister, Norrine Thompson of Tokyo.

Preceded in death by a son, Rober J.; two brothers, James and Roald “Bud” Miller; and a sister, Marlys Ohl.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dunkerton. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
