Clyde Bird, 89, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 26, 2003, at a nursing home in Waterloo.

Services were Wednesday in Waterloo.

Mr. Bird was born and grew up in Rock Rapids, Lyon County, Iowa; graduating from Rock Rapids High School in 1932.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, one son and grandchildren.
