WATERLOO - Ian Patrick Hurley, 34, of Waterloo, died at home Friday, Nov. 9.

He was born June 23, 1978, in Waterloo, son of Michael P. and Theresa K. Uhlenhopp Hurley.

Mr. Hurley attended Waterloo East High School and later received his GED from Hawkeye Community College. He owned and operated Modern Image Siding and Home Improvement and also worked for Failer-Hurley Construction.

Survived by his mother of Waterloo; a daughter, Shannon Fell-Hurley of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Adrienne Sayles of Waterloo; a brother, Colin (Angie) of Waterloo; a sister, Lisa (Mark) Geiger of Waterloo; his maternal grandmother, Kathryn Uhlenhopp of Sumner; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father; a brother, Brian; his maternal grandfather, Harold Uhlenhopp; his paternal grandparents, C.J. and Philamene Hurley; and an uncle, Gerald Uhlenhopp.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, followed by cremation. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.
