WATERLOO - Lois Marie Reicherts, 81, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of lung cancer.

She was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Dewar, daughter of Orville and Harriet Hansen Schmitt. She married Donald J. Reicherts on Nov. 19, 1947.

Mrs. Reicherts graduated from Dunkerton High School and had worked at Stop & Eat, Ben Franklin, Scully Pharmacy and Kmart Pharmacy until her retirement. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Gary (Beverly) of Osage and Russel (Laurie) of Waterloo; a daughter, Kathy (Keith) Blum of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Angie Reicherts, Aaron Reicherts, Rick (Kate) Reicherts and Kristin (Trent) Tompkins; six great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Janet McMahon of Denver and Lavone Wissink of Waterloo; and a brother, Clarence Schmitt of Manchester.

Preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Schmitt; and a brother-in-law, Robert McMahon.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
