CEDAR FALLS — Myron V. Jepsen, 81, of Cedar Falls, died at home Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

He was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Cedar Falls, son of Ernest E. and Esther K. Sorensen Jepsen. He married Bertie Colville on Dec. 20, 1950, at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Jepsen graduated from Northern University High School and attended Iowa State University. He was a farmer in Black Hawk County for many years.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Doug of Johnston and John of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Mary Kae (Bruce) Hanson of Wesley and Julie (Rod) Johnson of Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren, Eric (Julie) Hanson, Sara Hanson, Steve (Bobbi) Hanson, Kyle (Lynnsey) Jepsen, Tara (Sergio) Holguin, Chris Jepsen, Nick Jepsen, Heather (Ryan) Rausch, Carrie (Troy) Tysdahl, Alicia (Nick) Hill, Aaron Jepsen and Annika Jepsen; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Dee) of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and a sister, Carol (Jim) Nymann of Georgetown, Texas.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with private inurnment at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice, or the Western Home Communities.
