Betty Jean Christensen, 81, died Tuesday January 1, 2008 at her home. She was born April 27, 1926 in Maynard daughter of Edward and Bertha Nessler Arp.

She married Roy Serfling and was later divorced. She then married Chris Christensen and he preceded her in death.

She moved to Waterloo in 1968 and was employed with the Ellis Hotel Varsity Cleaners Goodwill Industries and later as a senior companion.

Survivors include daughter Rose (David) Westcott of Wadena; three grandchildren: Scott (Jolene) Westcott, Jeannette (Tim) Morehouse, and Kim (Jim) Kremer; 11 great-grandchildren" Mike, Nicholas, Tyler, Kayla, Janell, Henry, Tracy, Derek, Dalton, Ryan and Austin; one sister Bernice Lehniger of Hazelton.

She was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters.
