WATERLOO - Michael A. Crow, 71, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center from heart failure.

He was born July 8, 1941, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth and Eunice McCraney Crow. He married JoMaRee Tarkett on Sept. 6, 1958, at St. John's Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Crow worked at Hurwich Furniture Store and later at Rath Packing Co. for a short time. He then went to work at John Deere as an inspector for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Michael (Rachel) of Cedar Falls and Marty (Boualay) of Parkersburg; three daughters, Debbie Crow of Shell Rock, Donita (Larry) Paul of Knapp, Wis., and Denise Crow of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Greg (Cheryl) Crow of Cedar Falls and Tom Crow of Waterloo; and a sister, Rosie Roszell of Waterloo.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 3475 Kimball Ave., with inurnment at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.

Michael enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He made many beautiful wood pieces for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
