Louis "Bob" Melendy, 59, died Oct. 30, 2012, in San Diego, where he was assistant vice president of Human Capital Services for Scripps Health based in San Diego.

Born June 30, 1953, in Waterloo, he resided in Odessa, Fla.

Survived by his wife, Lezlie Hildebrand; two daughters, Danielle and Laine Melendy; mother Margaret Melendy; sister Sharon Melendy; and one grandson, Chalen White.

Services Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. in San Diego at Anderson- Ragsdale Mortuary (619) 263-3141. The family requests donations be made in the name of Bob Melendy to Scripps Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, C/O Scripps Health Foundation, P.O. Box 2669, La Jolla, CA 92038 or American Heart Association; 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
