WATERLOO, IOWA — LeRoy Arnold Lamb 75, of Waterloo, died Friday, November 2, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of complication of Parkinson’s disease.

He was born February 22, 1937, in Waterloo, son of Wayne S. and Erma M. Dean Lamb. He married Sonja Lee Vance on September 4, 1956, in Waterloo. Mr. Lamb graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1955 and attended the Sheet Metal Journeyman Program. He was a sheet metal contractor and owned and operated Hawkeye Sheet Metal Co.

He was past president of Iowa Roofing contractors, past president of Sheet Metal Contractors of Iowa, co-founder of Waterloo Junior Hawks Hockey Team, a lifelong member of the Elks, and a member of Hammond Avenue Brethren Church.

He served as a Sea Bee in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

He is survived by his wife; three sons: Max (Jennifer) of Cedar Falls and Mike (Lori) and David (Kathy), both of Waterloo; three daughters: LeeAnn (Kevin) Schultz of Cedar Falls, Kristi (Jim) McCarty of Jesup and Dyanna Lamb of Parkesburg; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry (Barb) and Leonard, both of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lynette (Derryl) Schake; and a sister-in-law, Linda Lamb.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church. Public visitation will be for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
