Kathryn A. DuPuis (1944-2012)

WATERLOO — Kathryn Arvetta DuPuis, 68, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Waterloo, died Oct. 24, 2012 in Baton Rouge of natural causes.

She was born July 6, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Donald and Phyllis Gress.

She graduated from Waterloo East High in 1962 and from the University of Northern Iowa with an elementary teaching degree, and she furthered her education at Southeastern Louisiana University with a Certification in Gifted Ed. She was employed at East Baton Rouge Parrish School System, retiring in 2003.

Survived by a son, Mark of Hammond, La.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, preceded by two hours of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories.
