WATERLOO — Herschel Gellerman, 92, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

He was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Rock Island, Ill., son of John and Golda Garber Gellerman. He married Charlotte Siegel and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Gellerman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survived by two daughters, Joy (Gilbert) Chaitin and Jill (Avi) Gellerman-Pandey; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Elroy and Dorothy, and Zalman.

Graveside service: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at old Sons of Jacob Cemetery, Waterloo. The family will gather at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway at noon, stop at the synagogue, and proceed to the cemetery.
