EVANSDALE — Lela F. Arbuckle, 82, of Evansdale, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Martin Health Care Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Chariton County, Mo., daughter of Donnie W. and Myrtle V. Minor. She married Dean Bailey in 1945. They later divorced. She married Everett L. Arbuckle in August 1955. He died in 2009.

She worked at Powers Manufacturing and later at Waterloo Tent and Tarp for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Evansdale.

Survived by two sons, Melvin (Kathleen) Bailey of Evansdale and David (Loraine) Arbuckle of Haven, Kan.; three daughters, Sheila (Dean) Cummings of Evansdale, Diane (Jeffrey) McConkey of Greeley, Colo., and Brenda (Larry) Kimmerle of Winona, Minn.; three stepchildren, Connie Gill of Paris, Ill., Marilyn Talbot of Hinesboro, Ill., and Everett L. (Gail) Arbuckle Jr. of Paris, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola (Jerry) Cross of Quincy, Fla.

Preceded in death by an infant brother; and a grandson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Evansdale, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
