CEDAR FALLS — H. Frank Malone, 72, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

He was born March 1, 1940, in New Plymouth, Ohio, son of Harold T. and Verna R. Stephenson Malone. He married Marcia J. Hitchings Oct. 13, 1962, in Nelsonville, Ohio.

Mr. Malone graduated in 1958 from Union Furnace High School in Ohio, and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Lancaster Glass, Santa Claus Industries and was vice president/general manager of Standard Screen Print. He was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49, Main Street Social Club, and served as president of the UNI Athletic Club.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Julie Malone of Ankeny; a son, Michael (Sandy) of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Cienna Malone; and two sisters, Rosie Spicer of Logan, Ohio, and Millie Dixon of Nelsonville, Ohio.

Preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jim Spicer.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard and the Iowa Army National Guard.

Memorials may be directed to the Panther Scholarship Fund or the Main Street Social Club.

Frank enjoyed golfing, attending UNI athletic events, spending time with family and friends, and karaoke.
