Larry R. McGrew (1948-2012)

WATERLOO — Larry Robert McGrew, 64, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 1, 1948, in Waterloo, son of William L. and Mayonette E. Wagner McGrew.

Mr. McGrew served in the U.S. Navy and was a self-employed carpenter in the area.

Survived by a son, Brad (Charmaine) of North Glen, Colo.; two grandchildren; four brothers, William (Elaine) and Danny (Dawn), both of Waterloo, Robert (Debra) of Phoenix and David (Sheila) of Elk Run Heights; five sisters: Sue (Roger) Wildeboer, Mary (Dave) Conrad and Kathy McGrew, all of Waterloo, Patti (Mike) Shaffer of Gilbertville and Christie (Dave) Tipton of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Evansdale AMVETS.
