James E. Greenway

Jim was born on October 17, 1935, in Stone County, Missouri, the son of Eldon V. and Iona R. Wallace Greenway. He died Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

On May 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Christina Mae Ellingsworth, in Hutchison, Kansas.

Jim was employed by the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years retiring in 1990. He had served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1958.

He is survived by his wife of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four children: Rhonda S. Tovar of Cedar Falls, Dexter D. (Vicky) Greenway of Waterloo, Iowa, Morgan K. (Rochelle Reynolds) Greenway of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Natalie K. Greenway of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: Lacy (Fikret), Jonas and Julien Sabljakovic, Ashley and Olivia Winning, Savannah and Geavonna Tovar, Christina (James), Kierra Justice, Candace Thein (Jon) and Gabrielle, Cassandra (Nate), Takoda and Trayten Greenway, Dexter Jr., and Devon Greenway, Bryce Greenway, Rhiannon Reynolds, Melissa Greenway and Vienna and Leah, and Brian Lange; two brothers, Donald (Sharon) and Robert; a sister, Rosetta (Douglas) Denayer; two half brothers, George (Lorie) and Jack (Charlotte) Jones; and a special friend, Jacob Clark of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and John Greenway.
