Raymond G. Reams, 90, of Waterloo died at his home Wednesday morning, October 3, 2012.

He was born October 2, 1922 in Floyd County, Iowa, the son of Clifton J. and Isabelle M. Kiefer Reams. He married Marlys Hovenga on September 20, 1944 in Atchison, KS. She died on December 22, 2006.

He served in the Army during WW ll. Ray worked at Rath Packing Co for 34 years retiring in 1984.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Carol (Mike) Crouse of Omaha, NE; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Wittmann; 2 brothers, Kenneth and Edward; and 1 sister, Maxine Vokes.

Services will be 2:00P.M. Saturday, Oct 6, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post #138, the VFW Post 1623 and the Iowa Army National Guard Honors Detail.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 – 7 P.M. Friday and an hour before services Saturday.
