Irma Jeannette Weaver was born August 24, 1917 in Blain, Pennsylvania to David Harvey and Ida Ruth (Kline) Snyder. Her family moved to Waterloo where she attended school and graduated from West Waterloo High School.

On December 16, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ted Weaver in Dixon, Illinois. They made their home on farms northeast of Dysart, northeast of Gladbrook before moving to Traer. She was employed at L.L. Owens Insurance for 18 years until her retirement. After Ted's death on October 25, 2004 she continued to live in Traer.

Her death came on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Sunrise Hill Care & Rehab Center at the age of 95 years.

Irma was active in her church where she taught Sunday and Bible School. She also served the UCC on various Association and Conference Committees including the Thank Offering Committee, Advisory Committee and Treasurer. She belonged to American Home, Iowana and Nature Study Clubs where she served in several capacities. Here favorite pastimes were traveling, bridge, reading, crossword puzzles and counted cross stitch.

She is survived by two sons Ted Jr. and wife Peggy of Shell Rock, Iowa and Dan and wife Diane of Traer; daughter-in-law Carol Weaver of Camarillo, CA; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, brother-in-law Ernie Weaver of Traer and several nieces and nephews.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted; one brother Robert; two sons, Kelvin and Larry.
