GRAVEMAN, LYNCH, TRASAMAR, MCGEOUGH, MENNENGA

WATERLOO — LeRoy Graveman, 78, of Waterloo, died Monday, Oct. 8, at Allen Hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Dinsdale, son of Julius and Ida Mae Lynch Graveman. He married Vi-Ann Trasamar on June 1, 1957, in South Sioux City, Neb. She preceded him in death.

He graduated from Dinsdale High School. Mr. Graveman served in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Hawaii, Korea and Japan. He worked at John Deere in Waterloo in the foundry and moved his way up to methods layout. He was a lifetime member of the Waterloo VFW.

Survived by a daughter, Coral McGeough of Cedar Falls; two sons, Dean of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Gaylen of Dumont; a sister, Betty (Roger) Mennenga of Garrison; and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Torin, Briana, Jake, Alicia, Janey and Stephanie.

Preceded in death by his wife; and a brother, Oliver.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Parrot & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Dysart Cemetery. Military rites conducted by the Dysart American Legion. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Overton Funeral Home.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, studying military history, collecting guns, pool league, rebuilding vehicles and family get-togethers.
