Neil E. Deegan, 76, died Thursday, July, 19, 2007 at his home.

He was born March 14, 1931 in Elma Iowa son of Marc E. and Helen McGrane Deegan. He graduated from East High School in 1949. Neil worked as a home furnishing sales representative in Wilmington Delaware and Waterloo.

Survivors include one daughter; Lynn Deegan of Santa Monica, CA; two grandchildren, Kate McClafferty and Nikolas Shaw; a special friend, Wilma Rainey of Waterloo; one sister, Maybeth Wilson of Waterloo, one brother, Dean Deegan of Anchorage, Alaska.

Preceded in death by his parents; one son, Marc Deegan; one brother, Lee Deegan; one brother-in-law, Paul Wilson; one sister-in-law Donna Deegan.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary by the Legion of Mary. Visitation also for an hour preceding services.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice.
