WATERLOO --Ardith R. Henderson, 43, of 250 Cottage Grove Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 16, 1955, in Waterloo, daughter of Edmond and Wilhelmina Richmond Austin. She married Mack R. Henderson on Dec. 24, 1977, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Henderson was employed by the Iowa Department of Corrections for 15 years as a residence officer.

Survived by her husband; a son, Mack III of Waterloo; three daughters: Wilhelmina B., Mactonia J. and Mactonya J. Henderson, all of Waterloo; her father of Waterloo; her stepmother, Virginia Austin of Waterloo; three brothers: Joseph Austin of California, Kenneth Boyd of Waterloo and Myron Boyd of Oklahoma; and two sisters, Annie Butler of Atlanta, Ga., and Conchita Burkett of Baltimore, Md.

Preceded in death by her mother; and three brothers: Jim and Kent Boyd, and Paul T. Austin.

Services were 11 a.m. today at Payne Memorial AME Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Sanders Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
