Michael Douglas Blair - January 3, 1964 - June 9, 2007

Michael Douglas Bulldog Blair, 43, of Chicago formerly of Waterloo died Saturday June 9 at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, IL, after a sudden illness.

He was born January 3, 1964, in Cedar Falls, son of Gary Vernon and Kay Marie Harvey Blair.

He married Michelle Knipp June 17, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1982 and furthered his education at Wartburg College UNI and UIC. He had been employed at Mortons Steak House in Rosemont IL for the past ten years.

He is survived by his wife; a step-daughter Randi Knipp; his mother of Waterloo; a brother Charles (Lara) Blair of Hudson; two sisters, Laina (Patrick) Casey and Nancy (Jeffrey) Boxwell of Waterloo; a special uncle and aunt Jerry and Rae Wolfe of Eagle Grove; two nephews Andrew and Adam Boxwell of Waterloo and three nieces: Alyssa Blair-Casey and Amanda Boxwell of Waterloo and Tanna Blair of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his father July 16 2004 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 3:00 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 7:00 p.m. Vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Bulldog enriched the lives of all who came in contact with him and will be greatly missed by each and every one.
