WATERLOO -John Paul Weber, 82, of 3720 Village Place, Apt. 5203, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Gilbertville, son of Frank and Elizabeth Nisius Weber.

He married Dorothy A. Bovy on Oct. 8, 1941, in Eagle Center.

Mr. Weber farmed in the Orange Township area, retiring in 1982, and was a charter member of St. Edward's Catholic Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, John of Dysart; four daughters: Joyce Ann Griesbach of Milwaukee, Wis., Janice Marie Schultz of Minneapolis, Linda Marie Craft of Ankeny and Carol Ann Pope of Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters: Margaret Bovy, Betty Weber and Gertrude Gearhart, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter; three sisters: Lucille Curran, Mary Vogel and Monica Williams; and three brothers, Bernard, Paul, and an infant, Robert.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 3 p.m. senior citizen's rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
