Georgia M. Nolting, 65, of Hudson, Iowa, died of cancer on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born August 20, 1941 in rural Stanley, Iowa, the daughter of George A. and Donna M. (Pieplow) Reed.

Georgia married Hal Nolting on September 6, 1959 in Fayette, Iowa. She was a graduate of West Central Maynard High School and was a bookkeeper for forty-five years, retiring in 2005. Georgia was a member and Secretary-Treasurer of the Iowa Venturers Motorcycle Club and the Hudson Heights Homeowners Association and was past Secretary-Treasurer of the Motorcycle Awareness Council.

Survivors include her husband, Hal Nolting, of Hudson; three brothers: Charles (Sandy) Reed of Sumner, Iowa, and Gary (Penny) Reed and Eugene (Evy) Reed, both of Maynard, Iowa; and four sisters: Betty (Jack) Riley of Galena, Illinois, Beulah (Jerry) Falck of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bonnie (Dewey) Kastli of Oelwein, Iowa and Nancy (Gary) Maurer of Independence, Iowa.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly Vandersee.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 4—8:00 pm Monday, and one hour before the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be 3:30 pm Tuesday at Union Cemetery near Aurora, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
