WATERLOO - Earl Raymond Dickinson, 85, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born May 25, 1913, in Waterloo, son of Raymond Clair and Lulu Eva Green Dickinson. He married Maybeth Lyon on June 20, 1936, in Nashua.

Mr. Dickinson was a machinist at John Deere for 40 years, then was a tour guide for 10 years.

Survived by his wife; a son, Tommy of Girard, Ohio; a daughter, Carolyn Haley of Washburn; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clyde of Prentice, Wis., and Glenn of Raleigh, N.C.

Preceded in death by four brothers: Cecil, Lowell, Ernest and Elmer.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
