CEDAR FALLS- Lois C. Toppin, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was born July 20, 1932 in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Louis C. and Alice M. (Arnott) Parisien.

She served stateside in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was employed with Rainbow Florists in the greenhouse for 10 years. She was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. She was also active in Boy Scouts of America, with the Wapsie Wranglers.

Survived by two sons, Scott (Carol) of Cedar Falls and Mike of Des Moines; two daughters, Deb (Mark) Piller of West Fargo, ND, and Melinda (Jim) Tinkey of Jesup; and eight grandchildren: Paul (Kristen) Toppin, Ryan (Bonnie) Toppin, Curt (Chelsea Grieger) Toppin, Sara (Rob Moerke) Toppin, Robert and Amanda Piller, Katelyn and Tyler Tinkey.

Preceded in death by two brothers, George and Loren Parisien.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service where there will be a 4:00 p.m. memorial service.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
