CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Lois Henderson, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 17, at Western Home Communities - Windhaven.

She was born March 16, 1930, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Alsey R. and Dorothy Uhl Fuller. She married Maynard P. “Chick” Henderson Oct. 16, 1948, in Cedar Falls. He died on February 21, 2012.

She graduated from Iowa State Teachers High School in Cedar Falls and was a clerk in the auditor’s office at the Black Hawk County Courthouse, retiring in 1997.

Survived by two daughters, Linda (John) Sorensen of Clear Lake and Elizabeth (Joe) Burkett of Summerfield, N.C.; three grandchildren, Cory and Adam Clopton, and Laura Burkett; and three sisters: Grace Davidson of Wyandotte, Mich., Lorraine Escher of Cedar Falls and Norma Gram of Fort Pierce, Fla.

Preceded in death by a brother, Alsey Fuller Jr.

Celebration of life: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Barn Happy, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. Her body has been deeded to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
