WATERLOO — Patrick Fredrick Laverne Price, 72, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 5, at Covenant Medical Center of severe pneumonia.

He was born Aug. 29, 1939, in Toledo, son of Thomas Trenton and Isabelle R. Perk Price.

Mr. Price served in the U.S. Army at Baumholder, Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked on the railroad, was a truck driver, and worked in the factory at John Deere, retiring as a landlord in 2006.

Survived by a son, Eric (Ann) of Miller, S.D.; three daughters, Tanya Penning of Waterloo, Lisa (Tom) Oates of Warrensburg, Mo., and Allison (Jason) Joel of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Mike (Lori) of Waterloo; a sister, Evelyn (Daryel) Hamlin of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be held for two hours before services Monday at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and the Sullivan Brothers V.F.W. Post 1623.
