WATERLOO, Iowa --- Kathleen Lovetta “Kathy” Carpenter, 56, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 28.

She was born Aug. 26, 1955, in Waterloo, daughter of Kenneth and Margaret Thomas Paulson. She married David R. Carpenter on Oct. 6, 1972.

Mrs. Carpenter attended West High School, but finished her education in Poway, Calif., in 1973. She and her husband returned to Waterloo in 1976, and she worked at John Deere and Omega Cabinets.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Bridget Carpenter of Cedar Rapids; a son, Jeremy of Waterloo; two brothers, John (Bev) Culbert of Waterloo and Lou (Lynn) Culbert of St. Louis Park, Minn.; and a sister, Linda (Gary) Narveson of McGregor, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Margaret Paulson Anderson; and a brother, Martin Culbert.

A celebration of life will be from noon to 4 p.m. July 15 at Island Park, Cedar Falls.

She enjoyed family and friends, rides on the Harley, extreme rides and anything Disney!
