Larsen, Carl "Larse" Jr., age 76, of Ham Lake.

After fighting for over a year to overcome the effects of strokes, Carl went Home to the Everlasting.

He began life as a farmer, then went on to work in road construction. In 1962 he moved to Ham Lake and began working at Cornelius, retiring after 30-plus years.

Preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; brothers Alvin and Vernon; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carl is survived by his son, Jerry (Maria "Lupe") Thompson; grandchildren Carl and Julie Thompson; sister Verna "Jean" Barber; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Garden of Memories Chapel, 3669 Logan Ave., Waterloo. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, is in charge of arrangements.
